"Stadtentwurf (Mondrian-City)", Video, 4 min.

MONDRIAN - CITY is a design for a city based on the painting "Broadway Boogie-Woogie" by Piet Mondrian from 1941. The graphical structure of the painting was "torn" into the third dimension, so that red and blue squares are transformed to complexes of scyscrapers, connected by a yellow grid. It is the idea of a city in which transport and communication are situated in the highest floors, whereas on the ground level, where you would normally find streets there is now plenty of space for parcs and other projects. -----german version-----
